The Bayon temple is without a doubt one of my favorite places to visit in the ancient city of Angkor Thom, near Siem Reap in Cambodia. There’s something delightfully creepy about the frozen smiles on the faces carved into each side of the towers on top of the structure.

Also it is nowhere near as crowded as the famed Angkor Wat mega-temple nearby.
